LISTEN | Korn

korn freak on a leash

Earlier, this means with 13, I didn't like KORN at all. When I started to listen to metal quasi - admitted, at this time System of a Down was also suspicious to me. I've learned something very important in time: One has to get involved with the music, to become acquainted to it and learn to love it. Otherwise I probably would have never made friends with KORN.

The song "Freak on a Leash" is about being different somehow. Any freak, one belongs nowhere, and virtually is the underdog. I've felt this way for such a long time, although I always was present everywhere. So often I was in central, but anyhow I always had the feeling that I never was a part of anything.

This hasn't changed till this day. Probably I am more the freak than I was earlier. Lesbian, vegetarian, no drugs, no alcohol. Straight Edge quasi. The people are looking so funny when they find out that one lives like this. So many people ask, if one can have fun in general and the answer is: Yes, on is able to have fun. Actually really much.

And somehow overall I find myself in this song. But you know, this isn't so bad at all. I have noticed that it is quite okay to be the freak - there are always people who like you for exactly being like that.

What do you think of this topic? Have you ever felt like this?

A thing in which I'm deeply interested is, if you like KORN or not and what you think of this song, which almost made me write a novel.
